Our Dog Izzy

5 days ago Izzy began to vomit up small stuffed animals from Nelson's Noah's Arc toy set. She has done this several times in the past without any difficulty. This time was different. We took her to the vet 2 days ago because she had not eaten for 3 days which was very unusual for her. They took a picture of her belly and kept her overnight for observation. She was released home to us the next day with anti-nausea medication. She continued to vomit for 2 more days. She had not eaten or kept down water for a total of 5 days.
After a second consult with the vet today they determined that Izzy had a bowel obstruction. Sadly we had to put her down. It was extremely sad but thankfully very peaceful. It was a very difficult day at our house today. We are thankful for the time we had with Izzy and she will be missed.

I'm so sorry! It's hard to loose a pet that's loved. Rest in peace Izzy

The good part is that Izzy doesn't hurt anymore. She can run and play in doggie heaven without any pain. Goodbye Izzy.

I thought about her all day yesterday and she was the first thing I thought about this morning. It is extremely sad because she was a gentle dog that didn't get the chance to live a long, heatlhy life. She's in a better place.

I'm so sorry. Izzy was such a sweet-mannered puppy and soooo adorable. She lived a full life and brought so much love to eveyone. She even made a dog-lover out of you, Jill (maybe?) If you're feeling lonely and missing the snorts and slober, let me know. I will be MORE than happy to lend you Lucy (indefinitely!)

I'm sorry. Losing a pet for me is sometimes harder than losing a person because pets are so helpless. I'm sure you took great care of her, and that she was very happy with you. You'll see her again someday.

Izzy and Bud the wonder cat are up in heaven having a great time playing together(because in heaven there is no fighting allowed). Sorry that you had to go through such a painful time.
